About Rough
Diamonds are very rare. In fact , it takes 250 tons of soil to produce one single carat of polished diamond. However, the human hand plays an important factor in turning the rough into the eternal polished gem.
Each diamond is unique; diamonds come from nature each with its own size, shape and color.
Shape transformation:
Each diamond can be cut in a number of shapes.

-Natural Cut:

by cleaving or sawing - determined according to the specifications of the rough.

-Laser Cut:

by an intense laser beam the diamond can be cut into different shapes.

Utilization:
When a diamond comes from nature we want maximum utilization so we can manufacture the best polished diamond and the purest.

There are several major diamonds forms
Process:
a diamond goes through a number of stages until it gets its final shape:
1. Marking - determining and marking the line where the diamond is to be sawn in two, after examining the diamond and consulting an expert.
2. Sawing - sawing the diamond in two, using a sawing disc with the help of diamond-powder.
3. Polishing - polishing the sawn diamond, by holding it against a rotating polishing disc called a scaife.
4. Cleaning - Cleaning away any grease or dust that may have been left on the diamond.
